Have we forgotten about our dear friends plying their trade in the 3. Liga? How will we keep up with the exploits of Carl Zeiss Jena?

Don't look down upon Carl Zeiss. Not only do they have a famous name but there is great potential for a lot of derbys in the area. Sad story that neither Leipzig nor Dresden have a team anywhere near the top leagues. Jena, Erfurt, Chemnitz, Zwickau all have a long tradition in turning out great players, just mention names like Ballack, Schneider or Kirsten, Sammer…
3rd league could give these traditions a good stage and maybe help to turn some of those great clubs arround or keep alive at least.

I think 3rd league is a very good idea because it broadens the base of “professional” clubs and will eventually help to move up level all the way to the top clubs.
